Once. a long time ago, not so long ago, we had few objects. Thing deprived humanity lingers in our consciousness. With so few things, our wealth consisted of ourselves alone. We spoke only of ourselves. and our relationships. We lived in and through our relationships. So i shall call myths poor, because of their lack of objects, and likewise theatre, theories and politics; poor and wretched our philosophies, and wretched our human sciences… Serres
