An image… technologies of the human sciences… a phrase that reads differently in 2012 than in 1980 and yet when reading the Kittler book Optical media, which contains the introductory implication “the Foucault of the digital age…” with it’s ongoing genealogy of various media and a technological determinism. But this telling phrase ‘technologies of the human sciences’ suggests something more, that the technologies may meet and what might a non-technology be ?
